Our work is focused on ensuring your safety and enjoyment. You might find multiple options or information online or at your accommodation. Many will talk to you about or offer paragliding in the Chicamocha Canyon; some may even show you our information, our photos, our videos, and some might have our T-shirts and postcards on the wall with our logos. However, they won’t send you to us.
That’s why we wrote this article to guide you in the best way possible and ensure that the service you hire is with our company.
Parapente Chicamocha is a company established in 2009. We are the only ones who work directly with the Chicamocha National Park. We have the largest group of pilots in the region (6 in the low season, 10 in the high season), all with over 15 years of experience. We have a private flying site (exclusive to our company) which is also the highest in the region. Our organization is dedicated to taking paragliding practice to the highest level.
There are several options to book our service and ensure that you will be flying with us.

Our paragliding office at Chicamocha National Park: It is located at the main entrance right next to the ticket booth. The office hours are linked to the hours of Chicamocha National Park, which are usually:
However, our flight service does operate every day from the Dos Ventanas launch site, which is 5 km from the park. You can also reach this office via the cable car station located at Mesa de los Santos (make sure the park is open).
Paragliding Launch Site Chicamocha, Vereda San Pedro, Chiflas Dos Ventanas sector, Aratoca, Santander: The flight site is in the Chicamocha Canyon, located at km 35 (San Gil-Bucaramanga) or km 64 (Bucaramanga-San Gil), near the Chiflas restaurant.
Access is via a 700-meter detour from the main route and is accessible by any vehicle. If arriving by bus, you can ask the driver to stop at the Chiflas restaurant, and a bus from our company will be waiting for you.
Buses from San Gil or Bucaramanga depart every 30 minutes and are operated by several companies such as Cotrasangil, Cotrasaravita, and Trassander.
